An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for Wirral Council within the Duty & Assessment team. This is an agency social worker position with a rate of up to £38 p/h.
The childrens social worker will be required to assess risk and produce assessments of excellent quality. Working within the Duty and the Assessment team the role will entail the below:
* Working with children on protection plans, looked after children and children in need
* Having extensive knowledge of relevant legislation
* Holding complex cases
* Liaising with other agencies
* Initial statements for court
* Providing children and family assessments
* Child protection meetings
* Section 47s
* Core assessments
* Attending LAC reviews
For this position you will need hold a recognised social work qualification and be SWE registered. Furthermore, you will have at least two years post qualifying experience in statutory child care setting in order to support your ability for this role.
