Service Care Solutions are looking for a Support Worker with Driving Duties to work at a Drug and Alcohol Detox Centre. This is a permanent full time role working 9AM-5PM Monday – Friday. We are looking for someone to cover primarily driving duties but offering support to the residents as well.
Responsibilities
Provide a home service transport for service users accessing inpatient treatment
To assist with picking up prescriptions and medications
Assist with completing shopping trips with service users
Support clients to external appointments such as doctors, dentist, court etc
Assist with detox rehab outings, walking, outdoor activities, gardening projects etc
Undertake client facing support, crisis welfare interventions and 1-1 support
Update and Inform staff of safety risks when transporting service users to and from the unit or home including risk assessmentsRequirements
Relevant experience working in drug & alcohol field
Experience working directly within drug & alcohol is not required, we would be open to applicants from similar fields such as Mental Health or Learning Disabilities
Driving license and comfortable driving a small minibus
