We are looking for genuinely caring, hands-on Female Support Worker with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the person we support.
We’re offering an opportunity for a Support Worker to work with a lady in her own Newmarket home. By helping her with the everyday challenges that most people take for granted, you will enable her to enjoy life and live as independently as possible. It is a most fulfilling role.
We are looking for someone who is caring, self-motivated, energetic, flexible, organised and above all reliable.
Whilst full training is given, experience of working with people with a learning and / or physical disability would be most advantageous.
Another advantage would be a clean driving licence, in order to drive the lady’s vehicle for trips out, shopping and appointments, plus the occasional short-break holiday.
Hours are variable but planned well in advance, to serve as many needs as possible. The role involves daytime shifts, including some weekend work and some sleep-ins, which are paid at £60 per night. Occasional overtime available. Working on a rota basis, mainly with two other colleagues, every effort would be made to allow for plenty of days off, including weekends.
Whilst much of your time would be spent working 1-1, you would be very much a part of a small close-knit team and regularly join client and colleagues for trips out in the community.
You’ll be enhancing the life of the lady we support, assisting with personal care, and supporting her to access local communities.
This is an amazing role for someone who is looking to make a real difference to someone’s life.
Why choose us?
We embrace people’s differences and encourage you to Be You, and so long as you’ve got the passion to make someone’s life better, we can give you all the skills and development opportunities you need to build a great career.
