We are seeking a full-time permanent Supervising Social Worker in the North West with existing foster cares in Liverpool, across to Burnley, and up to Barrow. We accept that the carers within this caseload spans a broad area, so a willingness to travel is essential. The successful Supervising Social Worker will inherit a caseload of 6 carers /10 children in placement, this may increase marginally but our client will fairly balance the caseload volume with the requirement to travel.
You must be a UK resident and have a Social Work Diploma/Degree to qualify for the Supervising Social Worker roles.
The NW has the following team;
Registered Manager
Deputy Manager
4 SSW (including 1 vacant post)
1 Support Worker
1 Administrator
You will need to be a qualified Supervising Social Worker with fostering experience. The maximum caseload are 10 household/14 children. If caseload is less than 10 than this there will be a requirement to be involved in either carer training delivery, form F assessments, participation/engagement events , recruitment events etc. depending on where strengths sit. TOIL will apply if events are outside normal working days.

The IFA has 260 children in placement across 6 regions (SW, SE, SC, Mids., NE, NW). They have 80 staff and are owner-led with intentions to become an employee-owned trust over the next two years.
The role is fulltime /37.5 hours per week/9-5. It is home working; but an expectation to travel to carers and meet at the regional office for training/meetings, normally 2-3 times per month.
There is a requirement to provide OOH on call work on a rota 1:5 weeks.

Hours 37.5 per week / M-F, 9-5 (1 FTE)
Salary £40,000 FTE + annual salary increase of between 1-3%
PRP based on net growth (after 6-month probation period)
On call rota (with OOH pay of £150 per week on-call)
Annual leave 28 days FTE plus birthday off / plus length of service increases of additional 4 days.
