Eden Brown are working with a private client who are looking for a specialist neuro physiotherapist to their Brain Injury Rehabilitation unit in Bristol.
As a Physiotherapist on the team you will provide a specialist rehabilitation to patients with complex neurological needs following acquired or traumatic brain injury and other neurological conditions.
What you’ll be doing:
Your clinical work will cover:
Medical and physical management of spasticity including splinting and serial casting
Complex postural management
Disorders of consciousness
Assessment for and provision of orthotics
Hydrotherapy
Use of specialist equipment e.g. the Lite-Gait overhead walking harness and treadmill; Quest electric standing frames; standard and motomed exercise bikes and tilt tables
Management of Behaviours that Challenge
Tracheostomy management and weaning
Patient centred goal setting
Keeping people safe from any harm and protecting their human rights.Managerial duties will involve:
Take a pro-active and supportive role in service development
Provide supervision and appraisal for team members
Deliver both local in-service and more formal training
Be involved in centre wide initiativesYou will receive excellent clinical support and supervision with a commitment to your ongoing training and development.
To be considered for this role you will need:
HCPC registration
Previous neurorehabilitation experience
Tracheostomy training is essential
Post graduate training e.g., in Normal Movement, Movement Science, or other neuro specific courses would be an advantageEden Brown Synergy is an equal opportunities employer.
