Children’s Placement Team Social Worker
Description
Service Care Solutions are currently seeking a Part-time Social Worker to join Tower Hamlets Children’s Placement Team. The successful candidate will work 17.5 hours per week, with a specific schedule consisting of Week 1 Wednesdays to Fridays, Week 2 Thursdays to Fridays, and the pattern continuing. The Social Worker will be responsible for providing high-quality services in identifying homes and placements for children who are looked after.
Key Responsibilities
Identify suitable homes and placements for children who are looked after
Conduct assessments and develop care plans
Ensure the welfare of children is safeguarded and promoted
Work collaboratively with other professionals and agencies
Provide support and guidance to foster carers and adoptive parents
Requirements
Qualified Social Worker with a relevant degree
Registered with Social Work England
Experience working in a Children’s Placement Team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good knowledge of relevant legislation and policies
