Nursery Practitioner
Job Summary
Hampshire County Council are currently seeking a Level 3 Qualified Nursery Practitioner to work in one of their children’s nurseries based in Eastleigh. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a high standard of learning, development and care for children aged 6 months – 5 years, in line with Early Years Foundation Stage. This is a temporary role and offers a pay rate of £16.40 umbrella per hour.

Making sure that children are safe, happy and stimulated
Communicating information to children using play
Encouraging children’s development
Creating a child-friendly environment
Maintaining toys and play equipment
Keeping recordsRequired Skills and Qualifications
NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development or equivalent
First Aid Paediatric Certificate
An enhanced Children’s DBS
GCSE in Maths and English at Grade C or above
Previous experience working in an early years setting is desirable – working within a childcare setting caring for babies and children aged 6 months – 4 years
Ability to develop good working relationships with staff and parents
Awareness of child protection and data protection issues relevant to the post How to Apply
