    Driving License and Basic DBS Required

    Our client, a Local Authority based in Ipswich, is looking for a Neighbourhood Officer to start immediately. As a Neighbourhood Officer your role will include:

    Providing an effective proactive neighbourhood management service
    Being responsible for the management of communal spaces, facilities and HRA land within Babergh and Mid Suffolk Districts with a focus on the health, safety and the welfare of residents
    Supporting colleagues within the Housing Service to provide excellent customer service, resolve complaints and develop service improvements based on customer feedback.
    Working collaboratively with other teams to ensure housing communities remain places where people want to live and lead healthy and independent lives
    Be a visible presence in our neighbourhoods and communities identifiable and recognisable by residents.
    Managing your own diary and caseloadsRequirements:

    Experience – must be able to hit the ground running
    Have solid experience of working in a relevant specialist area which could include housing, estate management or community work
    Have a flexible approach to the role and pick up work outside of one’s own specialism
    Be committed to providing a high level of customer service
    Have excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
