Service care Solution are currently recruiting for a Leaving Care Personal Advisor in Westminster
The Leaving Care Personal Advisor will support care leavers make a successful transition to adulthood.
Pay rate – £20.59 per hour / £25.61 ltd (umbrella)
Main Responsibilities
As a Leaving Care Personal Advisor, you will be responsible for:
To contribute to the assessments, formulation, implementation and review of Pathway Plans through direct interventions and full engagement of the young person.
To provide assistance and advice to Care Leavers in relation to developing practical independent living skills, holding a tenancy and developing financial capabilities.
Provide coaching and motivational support to enable young people to build the confidence and self-esteem to be successful in adulthood.
Safeguard and protect Care leavers as they transition to independence through regular contact and ensuring that they are; effectively engaged; in suitable accommodation; and in education training or employment appropriate to their abilities and aspirations.
Work collaboratively with colleagues across agencies with the view to co-ordinating the provision of relevant services and taking reasonable steps to ensure the young person makes use of them.
Requirements:
Enhanced DBS
Experience in a similar role
Educated to A level (or equivalent) or extensive experience of directly working with children, young people, their parents and carers to effect positive change
