Hours of Work: 40 hours per week (Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm)
Salary: £28,000.00 – £35,000.00 per annum plus £3,500 area allowance
Successful applicants will require Counter Terrorism Clearance (CTC)
About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Housing Officer to join our team in East London. You will be responsible for providing direct support and management to Service Users residing in dispersed accommodation. This role requires a proactive and results-oriented individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Service User Support:
Manage a caseload of around (Apply online only) Service Users.
Conduct inductions and support Service Users in their new accommodation.
Provide guidance and signposting to local services (doctors, shops, support agencies).
Conduct regular visits and report any incidents, issues, or concerns.
Ensure Service Users adhere to tenancy agreements and move-on dates.
Arrange transportation for Service Users as required.
Prioritise Service User health and safety.
Conduct bi-weekly welfare checks.Property Management:
Conduct regular property inspections and report any maintenance issues.
Ensure timely repairs and replacements of property items.
Recommend property relocation for optimal portfolio utilisation and void management.
Prepare properties for re-occupation after Service User departure.
Ensure properties comply with all health and safety regulations.Teamwork & Collaboration:
Work closely with the Operations Team and other departments.
Contribute to team meetings and provide support to colleagues.
Maintain strong relationships with local stakeholders.Administration:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all Service User interactions and property information.
Ensure compliance with all relevant company policies and procedures.
Prepare and submit required reports.Professional Development:
Participate in ongoing professional development training.Essential Skills & Experience:
Experience in supporting vulnerable adults or working within a housing environment.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to obtain and maintain Counter Terrorism Clearance (CTC).Desirable Skills & Experience:
Experience working with dispersed accommodation.
Knowledge of housing legislation and homelessness issues.
