Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Head of Tenancy Services to join a London Borough Authority in Haringey. This role involves strategic leadership, managing council services, and driving service excellence.
THE ROLE:
As the Head of Tenancy Services, you will be responsible for leading and managing tenancy and community services.
Head of Tenancy Services Key responsibilities include:
Leading and managing council services at a tactical delivery level.
Providing professional expertise and leading complex programs or service commissioning.
Horizon scanning to adopt emerging practices and innovations.
Collaborating with Councillors to achieve strategic aims and objectives.
Providing strong leadership in resource allocation, risk management, and change management
Managing and developing the workforce within the service area.
Creating and building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Head of Tenancy Services Additional Tasks and Responsibilities:
Achieve service excellence and drive continuous improvements.
Direct performance of tenancy management and community services teams.
Lead tenant resident engagement and participation.
Monitor service standards, regulatory, and legislative frameworks.
Deliver projects and initiatives to support service and business objectives.
Develop strategic plans for service areas, ensuring resident involvement.
Lead and support teams to deliver high-quality, cost-effective services.THE CANDIDATE:
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and possess the following qualifications and skills:
Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience.
High understanding of current housing policy issues and social housing sector.
In-depth understanding of tenancy management and resident engagement.
Substantial experience in a senior capacity within social housing management.
Experience leading and motivating large teams and programs.
Demonstrable experience of delivering service improvements and transformation.
Significant understanding of the social housing environment.
The Package
This is a temporary, Head of Tenancy Services role,36 hours per week for an initial 3 months, covering the recruitment process for a permanent team member, meaning the role could be extended, or become permanent.
