I am currently representing Islington Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 6+ months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience
We are looking for a Head of Provider Services this role will be: Hybrid N1 1XR
The right candidate will:
Islington Provider Services provides services which enable individuals to maximise their independence, building on their strengths and enabling people to live healthy independent lives for as long as possible in their own homes, or the place they call home.
We provide a range of services for Adults in Islington who are over the age of 18 with a range of needs including; learning disability, physical and sensory needs, mental health and older people.
The post holders will provide strategic and operational management support to all directly provided and regulated services. Future direction is for the services to become increasingly multi agency and services may be expanded and need to change in line with service development requirements.
* To drive positive cultural change across the services, embodying and promoting the commitment to strength-based practice model, with a person-centred approach, promoting independence, community connection and measurable outcomes
* To monitor and co-ordinate the annual formulation of budgets for provider services and ensure effective budgetary management and control across all provider services
* To lead on safeguarding and quality assurance within directly provided services and ensure high levels of safeguarding knowledge and awareness within the relevant services, and that safeguarding processes are complied with and that the person concerned is kept central to any process
* To ensure that robust systems for risk assessment, service planning, performance measurement and improvement in regulated and directly provided services are implemented and reviewed regularly
* To effectively monitor and support the achievement of organisational performance targets, HR related business targets and provide a clear and regular account of service performance
We require the following:
* Proven extensive experience and evidence of leading/managing provider services in a range of settings.
* Experience of delivering services to people with differing needs and from black and minority ethnic communities in inner city areas.
* Social work, Occupational Therapy or Nursing degree level or equivalent preferred but not essential – where qualified HCPC or Social Work England registered
