Family Support Worker
Description
The Family Time Support Work team is excited to welcome three compassionate and dedicated Family Support Workers to help us facilitate meaningful family time sessions as ordered by the court. In this role, you’ll play a key part in supervising family interactions, supporting children in sharing their wishes and feelings, and preparing insightful reports that contribute to the well-being of families. While most of your visits will be Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, we’re looking for someone who can be flexible when needed, including occasional evenings or weekends. This is a full-time position with 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities
Supervise court-ordered family time sessions, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all participants.
Conduct sessions to capture the wishes and feelings of children, ensuring their voices are heard in the process.
Prepare comprehensive family time reports and analysis to be presented in court or at relevant meetings.
Attend meetings as required to discuss case progress and share insights from family time sessions.
Work flexibly to accommodate the needs of families, including occasional weekend and evening hours.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of all sessions in line with safeguarding and data protection policies.
Requirements
Experience working with children and families, ideally in a support or supervisory role.
Strong observational and analytical skills, with the ability to prepare detailed reports.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact sensitively with children and families.
A flexible approach to working hours, with availability to work some weekends and evenings.
A valid DBS check is required for this role.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
