Description
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Family Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide vital support to children, young people, and their families, helping them navigate challenges and achieve positive outcomes. Responsibilities
Deliver outreach and home-based support to children and families, addressing areas of identified need.
Work collaboratively with multi-agency teams, including Health, Education, Children’s Centres, and School’s Family Support Services, to support parents in meeting the needs of their children.
Communicate effectively with children, families, and professionals across various settings, using strong written and verbal skills.
Maintain accurate and reflective records in line with Recording with Care guidelines.
Provide practical parenting strategies to support families.
Work both independently and as part of a team, adapting flexibly to support the overall operation of the service.
Requirements
NVQ Level 3 in Child Care and Education, NND, or Health and Social Care qualification.
Proven experience in direct work with children, young people, and their families.
Experience in collaborative and multi-agency work to support children and families.
Ability to communicate effectively across a wide range of situations and levels.
Strong ability to maintain accurate records and reflect on practice.
Capability to work alone and as part of a team across various services.
Full UK driving license, access to a car, and a laptop.
Desirable
Experience in delivering practical parenting strategies.
Demonstrated knowledge of child development.
Understanding of the signs and symptoms of Child Protection issues.
Ability to collaborate effectively with parents and professionals.
