    Main Purpose:
    Responsible for the cleaning of all designated areas in the service to a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness. Work in line with current health and safety, and infection control legislation and policies and procedures.
    Core Duties 

    To complete all relevant general cleaning duties in the service, including hoovering, mopping, emptying bins, laundry, cleaning kitchen and bathroom areas. 
    To ensure a high level of cleanliness is maintained throughout the service at all times, you will ensure all relevant areas are cleaned to the frequency and standard set out
    To use approved cleaning materials appropriately in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions, COSHH and internal guidelines.
    Ensure all cleaning products are supported with the appropriate Data Sheet.  
    To use cleaning materials economically and to ensure appropriate levels of stock are maintained, as agreed with your line manager
    To ensure that tools and equipment are in good working order and defects and faults are reported to your line manager
    To contribute to major cleaning tasks as required by the service
    Establish and maintain professional working relationships with the people we support contributing to the creation of a homely and pleasant living environment.
    Assist in the completion of people we support’s laundry where required
    During the course of your work, you will at all times conduct yourself in a professional manner acting as a role model to colleagues and people contributing to the delivery of quality services. 
    To work as a member of the team, contributing to the team ethos and supporting colleagues appropriately.
    You are required to report any enquiries / issues and / or concerns to the line manager providing information to enable them to take appropriate action.
    Maintain awareness that you have access to people’s personal spaces and effects and behave respectfully and honestly at all times.
    Build and maintain good working relationships with the staff team and people we support within the service.
    To liaise in a professional manner at all times with people we support’s family members, friends, advocates and other professionals as required at your location.
    To ensure that all relevant documentation is completed accurately and effectively in a timely manner.
    Use appropriate PPE including goggles, gloves, aprons etc. for relevant tasks.
    Have An awareness of the people we support’s needs and privacy which could impact how you carry out your role. 
    Notify line managers of damages, deficits and disturbances within the service. Additional Duties
