I am currently representing Tower Hamlets Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3-6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience
We are looking for a Children & Families Service Outreach Worker this role will be: E14 2BG
The right candidate will:
* Engage with school management teams in proportion to need (as measured by take-up of places locally in areas of demand) to ensure the school’s systems for marketing and engagement are fit for purpose and are calibrated in line with the Childcare Sufficiency Assessment scorecard for their local area.
* Ensure that the school is accessing its full entitlement for FEEE funding and meeting its duties under the funding agreement.
* Work with the school management team to develop their understanding of marketing and business planning for their early years’ unit.
* Work with the Quality and Sufficiency team to mediate any issues arising between schools and childcare settings over place take up and funding. Where required, support the implementation of Funding Audits as per statutory requirements.
* Promote the FEEE by encouraging the take up of places through delivering community outreach activities to eligible families (based on DWP eligibility list) and by engaging directly with eligible families, for example, by visiting families on the early learning for two-year-olds (EL2) list who are not yet registered at their local children and family centre.
We require the following:
* Experience delivering outreach services in areas of disadvantage.
* Practical experience of working with families in a community/early years’ setting.
* Knowledge and experience of working with Children and Family Centres, schools and private, voluntary and independent early years settings
