Child Missing Education Officer
Duration: Initially 3 months
Hours: 36 hours a week
Rate: £22 umbrella an hour
Job Summary
The Child Missing Education Officer will be responsible for ensuring that the London Borough of Hillingdon carries out its responsibilities to the highest possible standards and in accordance with legislation and Hillingdon’s CME policies and procedures. The successful candidate will be the lead officer for Children Missing Education and support the work of the Access to Education service.
Key Responsibilities
Support schools and other council officers in the identification and tracking of children missing education in line with Hillingdon’s CME policy
Provide advice and guidance for schools and colleagues on children missing education and escalate referrals to the Multi Agency safeguarding Hub as appropriate
Attendance at children at CIN/CP meetings
Support statutory work in relation to Hillingdon’s responsibility for NEET young people
Ensure all tasks are completed within the agreed timescales and to the required standardRequirements
Strong administrative skills are essential for this role
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience in a similar role is desirable
