As a Young Persons Mentor, you will have the rewarding opportunity to provide direct support to care leavers and young people in care. Your role will focus on ensuring that they have the maximum possible ownership of the Staying Close Project, maintain their membership, and achieve good outcomes.
Working collaboratively with Social Workers, Young Persons Advisors, children’s homes, and partner agencies, you will play a crucial part in producing the best outcomes for young people participating in the project.
Your role will also involve providing care leavers with the opportunity to develop a full range of independent living skills, preparing them for a smooth transition into more settled and permanent accommodation.
