Social Work Assistant

We are currently recruiting for a Social Work Assistant to join the Children’s Disabilities services.
This position is:
Full time – 37 hours per week
Initial 3 months, with the possibility of extension
Monday to Friday
The main purpose of this role is to assist Social Workers and other staff within the children’s disabilities services to improve and maintain the quality of the service provided to children and families, within the requirement of current legislation, regulations and guidance.
PURPOSE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* To work alongside social workers in assessing the levels of need of children and young people, their families and carers and identifying appropriate plans and services to support them.
* To carry out specific pieces of work identified as part of a plan to support children/young people and their families.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
* You must have experience working with children, young people and families
* You must have a valid UK driving license
