Family Support Worker Description
Liverpool Assessment Service is seeking five dedicated and compassionate Family Support Workers to provide essential support to children and their families subject to a LON4 assessment. You will play a key role in delivering tailored interventions to address the specific needs of families, helping to ensure their well-being and stability. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, multi-agency environment, positively impacting the lives of vulnerable children and their families.
Monday to Friday 9 to 5
36 Hours per week
Initial 3 month contract with the possibility of extension
Responsibilities
Deliver interventions and direct support to children and families in need.
Work collaboratively with other professionals and services to support families.
Conduct outreach and home-based support to address identified needs.
Maintain accurate and reflective records in accordance with Recording with Care guidelines.
Support parents in meeting the needs of their children by working closely with Health, Education, Children’s Centres, and other agencies.
Communicate effectively with children, families, and multi-disciplinary teams across various settings.
Work both independently and as part of a team to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Requirements
NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education, NND, or Health and Social Care qualification.
Experience working directly with children, young people, and families.
Proven experience in multi-agency working and delivering home-based support.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to maintain detailed and accurate records.
Full UK driving license, access to a car, and laptop.
Desirable
Knowledge of child development and child protection issues.
Experience delivering practical parenting strategies.
Ability to collaborate effectively with parents and professionals.
