Our Client is looking for a dedicated and experienced Deputy Residential Manager to join their team in Birmingham.
Role Overview:
As the Deputy Residential Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Registered Manager in the overall management of the home. Your responsibilities will include supervising the staff team, ensuring the welfare of the young people, and maintaining the high standards of care in line with Meadows Care’s ethos and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring that care is provided in line with legislation and company policy.
Monitor staff practice, develop skills, and build positive relationships with young people.
Deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager, attending key meetings and ensuring continuity of care.
Manage on-call duties as part of the rota, providing support during incidents.
Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for young people and staff.
Oversee the development and review of young people’s care plans, risk assessments, and other documentation.
Foster strong relationships with parents, social workers, schools, and other professionals involved in the care of the young people.
Lead the team with positivity, offering support, guidance, and supervision to ensure staff development and well-being.
Ensure the home maintains high standards in all areas, including communication, training, and administrative tasks.Essential Experience and Qualifications:
Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care in Residential Care with children and young people, or an equivalent qualification.
Experience working within residential care settings, ideally with a focus on therapeutic support.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage, inspire, and develop a team.
Competency in IT, with the ability to produce professional reports and manage administrative tasks.What We Offer:
