Placement Officer
Duration: 6 months initially
Rate: £21 umbrella an hour
Bromley Council are looking for a Placement Officer to join their team. This role is based in co-located offices with colleagues from health either at the Princess Royal University Hospital or Orpington.
This role will involve weekend working and as an example would cover:
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday
Week 2: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
Weekends can be remotely worked.
Role:
Sourcing domcare support packages to enable people to go home from hospital where they have health and social care needs
Receive referrals and assessments from social care for service users required services
To make recommendations to the Social Worker/referrer on the most appropriate and best value options
Undertake visits to providers for both individual service users and for general database records
Requirements
Experience within sourcing placements for service users
Understanding of the Care Standards and relevant legislation
Experience of negotiating agreements or contracts
Educated to a high level A levels as a minimum
