Children’s Social Worker
Flintshire County Council is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Children’s Social Worker to join their team. Flintshire CC is committed to providing a comprehensive social work service to children, young people, families and groups within the community.
The Role
You will be responsible for providing a service that meets primary needs, promotes development, and assists behavioural difficulties and vulnerabilities. The successful candidate will take responsibility for a caseload, develop and maintain professional relationships with children and young people and their families through direct casework, supervision, shared activity and counselling.
You will identify and assess risk of abuse, failure to protect, or harm to children, and advise senior managers as to any concerns in respect of children/young people with particular reference to them being at risk of abuse or harm. The successful candidate will also identify, contribute to and suggest ideas for good practice and its development, and take a lead in a special area of responsibility.
The Requirements
Qualified Social Worker
Registration with Social Care Wales, or a willingness to acquire
Enhanced DBS
Access to your own car
Experience of working with children and young people in a statutory setting
Experience of undertaking assessments and care planning
